F295 began in the summer of 2004 and ended in fall of 2015. Tom Persinger organized, moderated, and introduced each of these events as an inquiry into contemporary photographic practice . He sought out artists to discuss, in their own words, how they make decisions regarding process, content, and subject in the creation of their own work that falls within this new photographic paradigm. My photography is about my travels which I do a lot; sometimes to interesting places, sometimes not. I travel with my camera expecting to see things of interest photographically; I am rarely disappointed. I am interested in the way we have shaped the landscape, entertaining juxtapositions, color, and stuff. At its root it is about entertainment. The most useful thing about art is its uselessness.
